Travel to Northern Cyprus
Complete guide to flights, visas, and transportation
Getting Here
Northern Cyprus is the destination of choice for hundreds of thousands of tourists every year, seduced by the island's ancient riches and spectacular coastline. The main airport is Ercan International Airport (ECN), which receives flights from Turkey and several European cities via Turkish airports.
Flights to North Cyprus
Direct flights operate from Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, and Antalya to Ercan Airport. From the UK, you can fly via Istanbul or other Turkish cities with airlines like Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, and SunExpress. Flight time from London to Ercan (via Istanbul) is approximately 6-7 hours including the connection.
Ercan International Airport
Ercan Airport (ECN) is the main gateway to Northern Cyprus. Located approximately 45 km from Kyrenia and 50 km from Esentepe, the airport offers modern facilities including duty-free shops, car rental services, and currency exchange. Our airport transfer service can pick you up directly from the arrivals hall.
Visa Requirements
Most EU citizens and British nationals do not need a visa for stays up to 90 days. Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry. Please check current requirements for your specific nationality before travelling.
Airport Transfer Service
We offer professional airport transfer services from Ercan Airport to your accommodation in Esentepe, Kyrenia, or anywhere in Northern Cyprus. Our drivers will meet you at the arrivals hall and transport you directly to your holiday home in comfort.
Getting Around
While public transport exists, we recommend renting a car to explore the island at your own pace. Remember that driving is on the left side of the road, similar to the UK. We can arrange car rental for you through our trusted partners at competitive rates.
